The thing is, since you are doing it through your computer, and you don’t have the chance to personally check out the comic book before purchasing it, then there’s a great chance that you may not be getting what you really want. One of the best things of shopping for comic books is the personal communication that you get with a fellow collector. That’s why going to comic book conventions is still the best way to find comic books for your collection and get to know your fellow comic book enthusiasts.
When attending a comic book convention, you first have to be sure where it is going to be held, and what time it’s going to start. If you can, get a schedule of the events that’s going to happen during the convention. Make an itinerary, choose the events that you want to go to, this way, you will be able to spend time at the events which you want to go to the most, and you’ll be able to maximize your time.
Make a list of all the issues that you want to buy, consult a pricing guide so that you will have a general idea of how much you money will need to bring with you. Set a limit and stick to it, if you could, leave your credit card behind and just set the right amount of cash so that you will be able to stick to your limit.
If the convention is going to be done in a huge venue and there are lots of activities, then be sure to go wearing comfortable clothes and shoes. You may be doing a lot of walking and having sore feet can hamper your fun.
